The Blind Munchies Coffeehouse was named after a delicatessen in Des Moines, IA that closed years ago. The name was given to us by its owner & opened in Menomonie. While in Menomonie, the coffeehouse was originally called the Scarlet Pumpernickel. Then in January of 1997, we moved and opened as a non-profit branch of JFB at its current location on the corner of 7th and Wilson Ave. Although the location has changed throughout the years the eclectic antique atmosphere and retro-nostalgic flair remains the same.
The Blind Munchies Coffeehouse is operated completely by volunteers. We are a diverse group of believers who love God and want to serve Him together. Working behind the counter, we have college students, graduates, and community members. Checkout some of our volunteer videos on our website and Facebook to get to know us.
